The two maps in this expansion were originally published by John Bohrer / Winsome Games in two other expansions with paper maps.

– The Southern US Expansion was originally published as part of Southern US and Pittsburgh Expansion (2007)

– The Western US Expansion was originally published as part of Age of Steam Expansion #2: Western US and Germany (2003)

The maps for this expansion are printed on normal boardgame stock – not mere paper. Rules are included but you will need the base Age of Steam game to play.

Southern US expansion map
– Ranges from New Orleans to Raleigh and from Memphis to Jacksonville.
– 3-6 players

Western US:
– Special rules involving transcontinental networks
– Towns start with goods cubes that are lost when the town is urbanized
– New terrain: swamps
